What to do if an event that you are meant to attend is cancelled

Is your event not going ahead? Find out what to do next

Written by Fatsoma

We don't organise events ourselves, but we work closely with event organisers to make sure the most up to date information is always on the event page on Fatsoma. That's always the best place to check first.

When an event has been cancelled

When an event is marked as cancelled by the organiser, you'll get an email from us straight away. This will include instructions on how to request a refund, along with a message from the organiser if they've provided one.

Once an event has been cancelled you are able to request a refund from your Fatsoma account. To do this:

  1. Visit www.fatsoma.com/orders on your browser. You cannot request a refund via the app

  2. Find the correct order

  3. Click 'Request refund'

  4. If the event has been marked as cancelled this will be automatically accepted

Some organisers may also reach out to you directly by email or post updates on their social media pages. Occasionally the venue itself may share news of a cancellation, so it's worth keeping an eye on those channels too.

The event's venue has closed down

If you were due to attend an event at a venue that has recently closed, don't panic. In most cases the organiser is already working on finding a new venue, so keep an eye on the event page for updates. The latest information we have will always be on the event page.

The event looks cancelled but it's not marked as such on Fatsoma

If you've seen something that suggests your event has been cancelled or rearranged but it's not showing on Fatsoma yet, please get in touch with our team. To help us look into it as quickly as possible, please include any links, screenshots, pictures, or messages that you've come across.
