How to get information about an event

Everything you need to know about where to look before, during, and after buying your tickets.

Written by Fatsoma

We don't organise events ourselves, but everything we know about an event is on the event listing. This includes start and end times, venue details, age requirements, last entry time. Many organisers also include FAQs and refund policies directly on the listing, so it's always worth having a read through before getting in touch with anyone.

A quick note on your PDF tickets

The tickets you receive by email are a record of your purchase at the time you bought them. They don't update if event details change. The event listing on Fatsoma will always show the most up to date information we have, so if anything has changed since you bought your tickets, that's the place to check. If something significant changes, you should also hear from the event organiser directly, either through an attendee post or via their own communication channels.

Start and end times

You can find the start and end times for your event in the information panel at the top of the event listing on Fatsoma. The event listing will always reflect the latest information we have from the organiser.

Venue and location

All events on Fatsoma should have a venue listed in the event information panel. If you're going to an event with a secret location, the organiser will typically get in touch with you directly in the lead up to the event to let you know where to go. If you have questions about the location for a secret event we'd recommend reaching out to the event organiser.

Last entry times

If the event organiser has provided us with a last entry time, you'll find it in the event information panel on the event listing. If it isn't listed there, the event organiser or venue should be able to give you that information directly.

Age requirements

If the event organiser has provided us with an age requirement, this will be shown in the event information panel on the event listing. If there's nothing listed, it's worth reaching out to the event organiser or venue directly to check before you travel.

Set times

Set times aren't always something we hold information on, as they're put together by the organiser. If they aren't listed on the event listing, checking the organiser's social media is usually your best bet, as many organisers and artists will post these ahead of the event.

Dress code

If the event has a dress code, you'll often find it on the event listing itself. If it's not there, check the organiser's social media or the venue's website, as both will sometimes post this kind of information ahead of the event.

Wristband collection

Wristband collection is managed entirely by the event organiser. Details are usually shared on the event listing, in a pre-event email, or on their social media pages. If you can't find what you need, reaching out to the organiser directly is the quickest way to get an answer.

Event posts and updates

If an event organiser needs to share an important update, such as a venue change, a time update, or anything else you need to know before the event, they can send this directly to attendees using Attendee Posts. These will come through as an email and a push notification on the Fatsoma app, and will also appear in the 'Event Updates' tab in your app inbox. You can also find any posts an organiser has shared by heading to their brand page on Fatsoma and clicking the 'Posts' section.

How to contact the event organiser

Some event organisers list a contact email address or a link to their social media on their event page, so that's always worth checking first. You can also try reaching out to them on social media — they'll usually have accounts linked in the event description, or you can search for a name similar to their brand on Fatsoma.
