Understanding charges on your Fatsoma order

Is Fatsoma secure?

Yes. We make sure that Fatsoma uses the most up to date methods to keep the site and your payment details as secure as possible. We are unable to take any payments unless they have been fully authorised and secured, so you can buy with confidence. Where event organisers use their own payment handler, your card details remain fully secured and event organisers are never given access to them.

What payment methods are available?

You can purchase tickets on Fatsoma using most major credit and debit cards. We don't have a telephone line for purchasing tickets, and we don't currently offer gift cards.

Why has my card been declined?

There are a number of reasons why a card payment might be declined. If this happens, start by making sure that all of the information you've entered is correct. If everything looks right but it's still not going through, try completing your purchase on a different device or with a different card. If the problem keeps happening, your bank will be able to give you more information on why the payment isn't going through.

I'm having issues with payment verification

Payment verification on Fatsoma is handled through 3D Secure, which is an extra layer of security added by your card issuer when making purchases online. If you're having trouble with this, you'll need to contact your card issuer directly as this service is managed entirely on their end.

Why does my bank statement show a different name to Fatsoma?

Some event organisers handle payments through their own payment gateway rather than ours, which means their details may appear on your bank statement instead of Fatsoma. This will always be made clear to you at the point of purchase. Your card details remain fully secured regardless of which payment gateway is used. If you've spotted a charge and aren't sure which order it relates to, please get in touch with our support team and we'll help you figure it out.

I don't remember making a purchase, what's going on?

We're unable to take any payment without it being fully authorised and secured, so any charge from us will be linked to a completed order. If you don't recognise a charge, it's worth considering whether you may have purchased tickets through an event organiser's own website using our system, or whether someone else in your household may have used your card. If you've spotted something that still doesn't look right, please let our support team know and we'll look into it for you straight away.

Paying with Klarna

You can now pay for tickets on Fatsoma using Klarna, where this option has been made available by the event organiser. Klarna can only be used on orders over £30 and you'll see the option at checkout if it's available for your purchase.

To pay with Klarna:

  1. Select your tickets as usual

  2. Choose Klarna at checkout

  3. Manage your payments in the Klarna app
